Shower Wall Panel Installation FAQs

Can you install a shower panel in an existing shower?

A shower panel can be installed in an existing shower if the plumbing connections are properly spaced and compatible with the new panel. Make sure to check measurements between your water connections before buying.

Do you put drywall behind shower panels?

No, drywall absorbs moisture easily and this could lead to significant water damage and mold growth. We recommend selecting materials made to withstand damp environments such as a water-resistant backer board.

Can you install shower panels over tile?

Yes, just make sure that the tile is flat and level for a clean and cosmetically appealing installation.

Do I need a plumber to install a shower panel?

This depends on your level of comfort with plumbing. If the connections align perfectly, the installation can be straightforward. However, if you need to resize pipes, adjust the spacing on your current connections, or are unfamiliar with shower installation, we recommend contacting a plumbing expert.
