how to Remove Scratches on an Acrylic Tub
Because acrylic bathtubs are a solid surface, the color is the same throughout the entire acrylic sheet. It is not painted or sprayed on. If your bathtub should happen to scratch or dull, you can easily restore the appearance back to new.

Scratches and dulling can be removed with a liquid polisher such as Gel-Gloss or metal polish. Deep scratches or burns can be removed by use of very fine sandpaper and then finishing with a liquid polish.
Tools and Materials:

Fine-Grit Sandpaper

Liquid Polish

   Step 1
Using a damp sponge, wash the area with warm water and dishwashing liquid. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
   Step 2
Do not use any type of abrasive cleaning pads or chemicals. Read the labels on your cleaners to make sure they are gentle enough to be used on your acrylic tub.
   Step 3
Apply circular, even strokes to the scratched area using dampened fine-grit sandpaper.
   Step 4
Wipe the area clean with a damp sponge and rinse thoroughly.
   Step 5
Apply white polishing compound and water with a soft, clean cloth. Rub in a circular motion to polish and buff the area.
   Step 6
Wipe off any excess residue and rinse the tub with warm water. Dry the surface with a clean, soft cloth.
