   Step 1

Bathtub upside down with hardware layed on top. Carefully lay the tub upside down on towels (or other padding) on the floor so that the bottom of the tub is facing up.

   Step 2

Slide a dovetail bolt into one of the mounting pods. Slide a dovetail bolt into one of the mounting pods. (A mounting pod can be described as a raised piece on the bottom of the tub with a slot cut into one side.)

   Step 3

Match the tub foot with the corresponding pod. Match the tub foot with the corresponding pod.

Note: It is important that the feet are installed correctly so that the water drains from the tub properly. If the letters on your tub and feet do not match use the these guides to determine the mounting locations. The letters on your tub feet may differ from the guides.

   Step 4

Slide the foot down over the bolt. Slide the foot down over the bolt. Thread a flat washer locking washer and nut onto the bolt (in that order). Be very careful not to over-tighten the nut this could strip the bolt.

   Step 5

Finished bathtub in bathroom. After all feet are attached flip the tub over and allow it to rest on the floor. Be sure to lift the tub by the rim only never by the feet.

   Step 6

Add plastic shims to the tub foot to help level the bathtub. If the tub feet do not sit flush on the floor plastic shims may need to be added to the feet. To adjust the tub feet with plastic shims remove the foot and install a plastic shim between the foot and the foot bolt.

When the foot is aligned properly secure it to the tub. Trim away any excess plastic.

Hi I’m Tom from Signature Hardware. Today I’m going to show you how to attach feet to a cast iron clawfoot tub.

For this installation you’re going to need an 11/16” wrench.

Included with our tub are tapered rubber shims 4 dovetail bolts 4 flat washers 4 locking washers and 4 nuts.

The materials included may vary depending on the make and model of your tub.

Carefully lay the tub upside down on a folded blanket other padding.

If you have purchased a roll top tub place a book or a 2x4 beneath the tub rim so that you can easily flip the tub over when you’re finished.

Match the tub feet with the corresponding pods.

Slide a dovetail bolt into the mounting pod.

Slide the foot down over the bolt.

Thread the flat washer locking washer and nut onto the bolt.

Hand tighten the nut so that you can adjust the foot as needed.

If the foot lies flush with the tub on all sides finish tightening the nut with your wrench.

If the foot does not lie flush remove it and install a shim between the foot and mounting pod.

Adjust the foot and shim as needed and secure the foot.

It is normal to have a very small gap between the foot and the tub.

After all feet are attached flip the tub over and allow it to rest on the floor. Lift the tub by the rim only never by the feet.

If the tub feet do not sit flush on the floor flip the tub back over and shim the foot that is causing the unevenness.

After all adjustments have been made trim away any excess shim.

Additional adjustments can be made by tightening the levelers on the bottom of the feet. Move the levelers until your tub sits evenly on the floor.

That’s it you’re done. You’re ready to enjoy your new tub.
