5I purchased this for my mom in Florida. She is thrilled with it. Has many woodpeckers that come to her backyard all the time. Seemed appropriate and made her smile!

Nice looking, but horrible to install
2The actual door knocker looks great - good finish, exactly as pictured. It arrived in a big box without packing material and without installation instructions. The only mounting hardware included were two separate long bolts (without heads) and two ugly brass nuts. The template and installation instructions available on this page are not very helpful and I do not want to drill holes all the way through my beautiful front door, placing two ugly nuts on the interior. They should a) include the instructions and template in the packaging and b) include alternate hardware for installing the knocker on your door without needing to drill all the way through the door. If I can;t figure out how to install the knocker without ruining the interior surface of my door, I will sadly be returning this item.

So Cute!PatteThis door knocker is soooo cute! Every person who comes to my door tells me how cute it is. It was easy to install ( my husband did it) & yes it does show through the interior door with the bolts but so do all door knockers. I just painted over the bolts. The only problem with the door knocker is that no one uses the door bell anymore, they ALL use the door knocker, especially the grand kids, all day long....Lol. Buy it you will not be disappointed.
