We purchased this because we were switching all of our home hardware from polished brass to oil rubbed bronze. I needed a knocker that had holes 4-5/8th apart. I searched around and these were the only ones I could find. I purchased them to find the holes were 4-1/2 apart. I had to expand the holes but luckily the collars covered the oblong holes I had to create in the metal front door. Additionally, the collars had metal burrs that rose from the center, which I filed down, and the center holes were larger than the threaded rod so did not center easily center on the nut.

Beautiful product except install design. Bolts go all the way through the door. Who wants to look at screw/bolts in my beautiful entryway door?

Was trying for a while to find a door knocker to replace one where holes already existed in door. The first one came was and was not exactly what I wanted. Customer service was so nice about the exchange. New door knocker arrived and the quality was very nice and installation simple.
