These are heavy, well made and they look fantastic on my red oak floors. I looked far and wide for black cast iron registers and these are perfect.

I bought two of these to replace cheap register covers that covered badly placed vents in front of two back doors. I've had them for a year and the have withstood big parties of people walking over them. Super strong and with the wipe of a wrag, they look great again!
The only thing is moving the direction of the vents is difficult at first but a little WD40 solved that.
Love the look of the black contrast on my hardwood floors and I'll be replacing 3 more vents with the same! Very happy.
  • Perfect floor register

I have wanted sturdy, functional & good looking floor registers since installing hardwood flooring in my kitchen, dining room and foyer. When we completed our kitchen remodel, I couldn't wait to add the finishing touch...perfect floor registers! These iron registers are amazing! Cast iron is very sturdy and attractive....worth every penny.

Note that the cast iron is not 6.45 mm thick. It might be close to that at the edge. but it's less at the openings. Still strong enough to roll a furniture caster over it without breaking. The cover grate looks nice, but the damper blades are too loose. When fully closed, more air leaks through than should. If partially open, it's almost as it it was fully open. Hard to adjust to allow low quantities through - like 30%. The damper blade design doesn't work for that. The blades and the control arm are also too loose, if you set it, it can go out of adjustment very easily. I'm trying to wedge a piece of rubber cushion in between the control arm and the grate cover so it won't move so easily. For the cost of this damper, it should work much better. I also recommend a slightly rounded edge on the cast iron. If you kick it accidentally with bare feet, it will hurt you.

Worked and looked great. Fit into a slate floor and blended in perfectly.
