    Could use some improvements

Comments about Reid Stainless Steel Linear Shower Drain:

I just installed the drain this week. It looks great but doesn't have any slope within the linear drain itself. The unit i got actually slopes slightly away from the outlet. Its a bit of a pain getting it leveled and secured, something they could easily remedy on the manufacturing side. For the price point i think it should have been more installation friendly. Overall i am happy with it. But, as a contractor, i won't purchase it again because i prefer to stick with top quality products that i can have confidence in.

    Rusting Drain

Comments about Reid Stainless Steel Linear Shower Drain:

We bought this and installed it in June of 2015. Withinn a month I noticed rust on a couple spots on the drain and the removable grate. I clean it about every two weeks. This last time I was shocked to find rusty scum in the entire drain. I spent an hour cleaning the rust off of the grate, drain and tray . Now I think I need to clean and dry every part of the drain every time I use it. I will talk to the company and get back with how they handle this .

Comments about Reid Stainless Steel Linear Shower Drain:

My contractor has yet to install the drain so I can't give a review based on its performance but it looks very cool. We had initially bought a smaller linear drain from porcaleonosa but after several discussions with the contractor, plumber and tile guy they suggested to go with a 60" instead of a 32" linear drain.

Nice looking but doesn't slope toward the outlet

Comments about Reid Stainless Steel Linear Shower Drain:

The two stars is for the fact that it seems to be of quality material and is attractive, but unlike what it says in the specifications, it does not slope toward the outlet. It is a v-channel that is 1" deep all the way across. This means that the water will sit stagnant in the channel at all times and is only replaced by new water when the next shower occurs. Maybe this isn't too bad a problem, but it's not one for which I want to volunteer. Too bad, because it's really nice looking.

    Gorgeous Element for Master Bath

Comments about Reid Stainless Steel Linear Shower Drain:

I chose this linear drain for a little something special in a large doorless shower as part of a master bathroom remodel. It is beautiful. The plumber and tile installer had no trouble working with it. I haven't gotten to use the shower yet to test the efficiency or functionality of the drain... But so far I'm thrilled with my choice.

    Slow drain

Comments about Reid Stainless Steel Linear Shower Drain:

We installed this in our shower approx 3 feet away from where the shower water hits the shower floor. We find that soap scum tends to pool around the drain for 2 reasons: the distance the runoff travels to the drain, and the tiny holes of the drain. Install the drain closer to where the water drops if you want to use this style.

Bad Ass Shower DrainGutted my bath and started from scratch and this drain in shower was the crowning touch. Reminds me of a hotel in Singapore - Classic Touch!!

Really nice drainI don't know what one of the reviewers was talking about the drain channel being the same depth all the way across. It's not. The channel has V grooves and a nice slope towards the drain. No problems draining. Any water pooling around the drain is the result of faulty installation. The holes in the drain cover are small and that's why I chose this drain. I think they are just the right size to help collect hair before it goes down the drain. The drain is easy to clean and comes apart easily to clean the drain basin. I purchased the 36".
