The old-fashioned pump-lever appearance of the De Dion reflects the rich history of this faucet and the Herbeau family that designed it. Jean Herbeau fashioned the handle to resemble the gearshift of the prized 1904 DeDion-Bouton car that was driven by his father and company founder, Desire Herbeau.
