| We take great pride in our thorough tub crating procedure to ensure your tub and other order items arrive safely to your home or construction site. |
After placing your order, our tub department begins the crating process by drilling the tub for faucet holes and fitting the tub with feet. After all brass fixtures and accessories have been collected, the items are placed on a wooden palette, which serves as the base of the crate. |
The tub is then turned upside down (depending on the type of tub ordered) with all brass goods placed inside. The rim is wrapped for protection, either with bubble wrap or in a box with shrink wrap, and rests on a sheet cardboard. Another piece of cardboard is placed on top of the tub, and two plastic straps are tightened with a ratchet to secure the tub to the wooden slats of the palette. |
The side walls of the crate are then positioned and secured to the base. Two L-shaped units form the four interlocking walls of the crate. |
After the walls have been locked into place, four wire clamps are closed at the two open joints. |
The crate lid is then placed on top. Constructed with an inner lip, it locks firmly into place. |
A piece of cardboard, long enough to cover the width of the crate lid and part of the side panels, is then placed over the crate. A plastic strap is ratcheted tightly over the cardboard and around the entire crate. |
The crated tub is labeled in two locations with the customer's shipping address. Multiple tracking barcode labels for the trucking company are placed on the lid and the packing slip is attached in a clear plastic bag. |

The finished crate is pictured here. Tubs are shipped daily, Monday through Friday, from our Erlanger, Kentucky warehouse. |
