    WALL SCREWS TOO SHORT!

Comments about Elegant Cast Iron Handrail Bracket:

The wall screws provided are only 3/4" long and they need to be at least 1-1/4" long to extend through sheetrock to secure 3/4" into the wall stud. I am not happy that I have to go find longer screws with a similar finish.

Look prety good, but... what a shame.

Comments about Elegant Cast Iron Handrail Bracket:

The mounting lag screws that thread into the bracket are smaller than the hole they thread into, which means that under force (like trying to screw them into a stud), they spin in the hole, or be pulled straight out, like I could do by hand. Even if you unscrew the lag from the bracket, the bracket will still pop off the screw. I'm sure that a dab of epoxy would cure the problem, but that shouldn't be the answer.

    They look pretty nice, though.
