| Signature Hardware offers a wide array of water supply lines to fit most faucets and applications. Below are informational tips that can be used when deciding which supply lines will work best for your specific setup. Please note that codes and ordinances vary greatly. When in doubt, consult a local professional when deciding which supply lines to buy. |
 |
Double Offset Supply Lines
Double Offset Supply Lines are most popular for wall mount faucets with 3-3/8" centers. The supply tubing is angled and slopes slightly outward from the faucet. At the floor, the plumbing for double offset supplies should be roughed in at 8" on centers. These supply lines are also available with or without shutoff valves.

Straight Supply (Single Offset) Lines
Straight Supply (Single Offset) Lines are used when the roughed-in pipe at the floor is aligned with the tub faucet holes. If the faucet has 3-3/8" centers, the supply lines will be roughed in at 3-3/8" centers. If the faucet has 8" centers, the supply lines will be roughed in at 8" centers. These supply lines are available with or without shutoff valves.

Pressure Balance Supply Kits
Pressure Balance Supply Kits are a variation on the Double Offset Supply Lines. Pressure Balance Kits work by maintaining a constant temperature at the faucet. They can not be adjusted and do not have a thermostat to regulate a maximum temperature. These supply lines are also available with or without shutoff valves.

Straight Supply Lines
Straight Supply Lines are used for deck or rim mount faucets. These supply lines are aligned with the tub faucet holes. For a tub faucet with 7" centers, the supply lines would be roughed-in at 7" on centers in the floor. These supply lines can be ordered with or without shutoff valves.

Freestanding Supply Lines
Freestanding Supply Lines are heavy gauge, 1/2" brass tubing that is designed to support the weight of the faucet. The supply lines must be securely anchored to the floor of the home. Some supplies also require wall supports. Available with or without shutoff valves. Centers are variable depending on the spread of the faucet. Most applications will use 7" centers.

Tub Supply Ells
Tub Supply Ells can be used to adapt stainless steel supply lines if your rough-in is coming from the wall. The ells adapt the faucet to work with 1/2" IPS fittings. They are available as rough brass or finished.

| Additional Information and Instructions
|
- All supply lines should be installed by a qualified, licensed plumber.
- Supply lines are made from high quality cast brass. These lines cannot be bent to vary the spread at the floor. If you have plumbing roughed in on unusual centers, it is suggested to either change the plumbing rough-in or use tub ells with braided water lines.
- Rough in 1/2" IPS pipe at 1/2" above the finished floor (1-1/2" above the finished floor if using shutoff valves.)
- Supply lines (except freestanding lines) can be easily cut with a tubing cutter to the correct length for installation.
- Avoid over-tightening all connections. Snug the nuts by hand. Using a box wrench, tighten 1/4 turn. Check for leaks. Tighten 1/8 of a turn until leaks stop. Cast brass is one of the best materials known for plumbing pipes and valves, but it will crack or split if over-tightened.
- Use Teflon on threads (not plumber's putty.)
