Initially created for hospital use, the air bath massage was developed during the 1980s in Europe to provide a therapeutic action while maintaining the highest hygienic standards. It was introduced to the commercial market a few years later.
The mechanism of the air bath system is truly simple. An air blower pushes air towards a distributor, which directs the
air through multiple jets strategically installed within the bathtub. For additional comfort, some models warm the air to body temperature through a heating element that is integrated within the blower.
Each jet of the air massage system is strategically positioned in the bottom of the tub for efficiency and comfort. When you are in the water, the jets are generally positioned to surround your lower back, hips and legs. Therefore, the massage is focused directly on your body where it is most needed. |

| The air massage system is completely sealed and hygienic. Water does not sit in the system after use. Check valves in each jet restrict the entry of water into the air system. The air massage system is a relatively new concept based on latest technologies and designed to create the most secure system on the market. Each massage system offers three different levels of security:
- An anti-return valve prevents water from flowing back into the blower.
- A water relief valve prevents water leakage from reaching the blower.
- Each jet in the system has an integrated check valve to prevent the water from entering the piping, which insures impeccable hygiene of your system.
