Erlanger, Kentucky (August, 2006) - Signature Hardware is proud to present customers with more finish choices for fixtures in the popular Nottingham Brass line. New Antique Brass and improved Polished Nickel finishes are now being offered on select Nottingham Brass items, which are exclusive to Signature Hardware and its sister company, Clawfoot Supply.
Antique Brass has a distinctive appearance that mimics that of actual aged brass. While this finish still exhibits the warm, golden tones that are characteristic of polished brass, it also features darkened shades on textured areas. A beautiful brushing throughout adds elegance and consistency to the finish.
Antique Brass was widely favored in the 1970s, and has been making a strong comeback in the American market. Decorative door hardware, floor registers, and other Antique Brass accessories have been in high demand in recent years. Both consumer interest and increasing hardware sales prompted Signature Hardware to expand the Nottingham Brass finish selection to include Antique Brass.
The second finish, Polished Nickel, has been enhanced for deeper color and superior reflective properties. With a greater concentration of nickel in its composition than ever before, the distinctive shine and dark tones of the finish are now even more pronounced. The first finish available over brass, traditional Polished Nickel complements nearly every type of home decor.
Antique Brass and Polished Nickel join the existing Nottingham Brass finish family, which includes Chrome, Polished Brass, Brushed Nickel, Oil Rubbed Bronze, and Antique Copper.
