I purchased this supply line kit in addition to a coordinating drain and faucet in order to revamp our old claw foot tub.

It amazes me that there are still companies making this type of hardware, for that I am grateful. What is even more amazing is that it is at such a reasonable price. I think $100 for these supply lines/on off valves is more than fair.

Installation is straight forward, just make sure you measure several times and take everything into considerations before cutting the supply line. You do have some left to right/front to back flex in the lines but you are stuck on the height once the pipe is cut.

My kit came with two sets of brass washers. It was not clear what the second (smaller inside diameter) set of washers was for. After emailing Signature Hardware I had a response in about a day saying the smaller ones were intended for a smaller (3/8") supply line, not the 1/2" one i purchased. Just discard them.

I assume this happens because the on/off valves are used in several kits (both 3/8" and 1/2") so both sets of washers are included.

One last note. You will want to use a flat jawed (not ribbed) wrench to tighten the nuts on this kit. The chrome finish looks great, don't scratch it up before you fill the first bath. It is also helpful to wrap the nuts and anything around it in blue painters tape. This will help to protect the finish while you are installing the supply lines.
