These are just slightly smaller than the originals they replaced. Another website wanted almost $40 for just ONE replacement handle. My old handles had the glue inside fail which caused the porcelain to spin independent of the spline so the water wouldn't turn off. When these came, I used some epoxy to fill in between the porcelain and the nickel as a precaution. These feel very solid. My only complaint is the two hex screws that you tighten to keep the handle attached to the spline show up on top when you tighten them down so the "hot" and "cold" are visible to be read properly horizontally when the water is off. Kind of annoying to look down and always see the screws, when they should probably be underneath and out of view. Be sure to check the width of your valve and number of splines on the valve before ordering. There are probably 4 different sizes of valve depending on the age and make of your shower. I gave my info to SH customer service and they assured me these would fit, and they did!

I love the look of these and have been using them on our tub to replace the original ones. After time the glue that holds the taps in weakens and the porcelain tops separate from the nickel bases.
