Just the right size for retro-fitting a dresser vanityI purchased 3 of these petite sinks to use with 3 antique dressers I am converting to vanities for my bathroom remodel. Most dressers only measure 14 to 16 inches from the front edge to the back, so finding a sink which would fit without being too close to the wall was difficult. These Kiernan sinks are perfect! They are ceramic, not porcelain-coated, are heavy and solid, very smoothly finished, and high quality. They do look small out of the box, but when I set them next to my existing sinks, the only difference is that my old cast- iron sinks are about an inch wider from side -to-side. They look fantastic on the old dressers. I purchased single-handle vessel-style faucets which will be installed slightly offset to one side since they obviously will not fit between the sink and the back edge of the dresser. It actually looks better that way, for my 40's style baths. Love the quality and love the price!
perfectI found an antique wash stand and needed a small sink to fit on it. This was perfect. Just the right size and price. I have an ironstone pitcher in it when not in use and it looks great in my 300 yr old house.
It is what it isI was looking for a small bisque vessel sink and this was it. The bottom of the bowl has a slight rise around the drain that does not permit the sink to drain completely. Other than that no complaints. If I had to do it over again, I realize now that I could have gotten a larger vessel sink. Although, I can wash my hands in the sink; someone with larger hands might have difficulty keeping the water in the sink. That was my planning problem, not the sink's.
