Purchased one for my shower and loved it so much I purchased another one for my remodeled guest bath. So much better than a stool because it folds up out of the way. If you want a more uniform color you can treat it with teak oil.

I bought the oil rubbed bronze and chrome teak shower seats. Just had repairman here today account both seats were pulling out from the wall. Installer needed longer screws than came with the seats to reach the blocking behind the shower wall. What was discovered when we pulled the seats from the wall is exactly what the others here on this site are saying, "the chrome is flaking off" & the oil rub bronze is going through a "patina process". I have only had my seats installed for one year. The seats were a nice solution for my showers, but I am disappointed in the quality of the product.

This is sturdy and functions well. But, as many others have noted, 2 years after installation, the chrome is flaking off. This shouldn't happen. Appears to be a manufacturing flaw.

Jo got it right. The seat is great with the exception of the chrome flaking off. My seat has been installed for 2 1/2 years now and is in rough shape. I never used any harsh chemicals on it

Purchased this seat for my newly tiled shower. Love it! I did go with longer mounting screws than the ones included because after going through the tile, tile board, and dry wall....they only left about a half inch of thread to anchor into the stud. Also the little screw cap covers broke easily and I need to request more.

I purchased this in 2014 for the en-suite renovation. Love it, it needs no special care, comfortable, & out of the way.
    • Great wood seat, poor mounting.

This product has been installed in my shower space for nearly a year and used almost daily since. The wooden seat still looks great and is very functional. However, the surface of the nickel mounting hardware has deteriorated and is now flaking off. As a result not sure I would buy this product again.

I bought one of these for my newly-remodeled bathroom & shower last year. After a year's daily use, it loos and functions great. The teak wood is fading a bit, but it doesn't look bad. Very sturdy and made well. Drilling the holes through the tile made my contractor's arms wobbly, but he did a great job. Love it!
