Comments about 36"" Folding Teak Shower Seat:

Ordered this from a hospital bed and got home to find dh struggling to install because it is way too big even for our oversized tub. It looks very sturdy but unfortunately designed in such a way that my contractor son can't manipulate the size. Make sure you know exactly where it's going!

      Love fold up seat

Comments about 36"" Folding Teak Shower Seat:

I bought this fold up seat for a bathroom remodel that I did. The renovation was a total gut, so I was able to make sure that there would be proper support for the seat. The bench seat is not the easiest to install because of the weight and size of the bench, but I still love it. I had it professioanlly installed and I am not having any issues with it. I bought this with my mother in mind, since she has difficulty walking, but I also bought it for myself for the steam shower I had installed.

      Shower Seat

Comments about 36"" Folding Teak Shower Seat:

It is a very attractive, functional and versatile addition to our shower. Folds nicely out of the way when not in use. CON: seat mounting brackets, while the spacing is adjustable-horizontally, the seat should be fabricated to be adjustable to 32" on-center to align with existing studs, in order to avoid adding "blocking" in order to provide adequate structural support. This is not a big issue in new construction, but is in renovations.

It's a very nice bench however, I added folding legs to it. It wants to pull out of the wall. I turned a garden tub area into a full standup shower. I used Sentrel panels and the walls are sheetrock. The brackets wanted to pull out so I added legs.

Comments about 36"" Folding Teak Shower Seat:

I bought this for a new home that i was building for my family I am a professional builder with 30 years experience so the installation was not an issue or the problem with this seat. Overall the construction of the seat looks alright but the functionality and ease of use is something to be desired. The folding mechanism was very hard to use and required more too much effort to force the seat up and down. After only two weeks of use the torque exerted to open and close the seat snapped the wall tile. the repair will require that three full 12 by 24 inch tiles be removed. on a good note Brandon from Customer Service was fantastic and replaced the broken seat with another.

Comments about 36"" Folding Teak Shower Seat:

The shower seat that folds up is exactly what we were looking for to go in the new shower. It looks great, is big enough to accommodate the big and tall folks in the family and is sturdy to boot. The only feature keeping it from being a 5 star is that it's a little stiff to fold down. This could be a problem with installation, however, I wouldn't have any other.
